The International Conference "Scholars, Practiotioners, and Inter-American Relations" was held on April 26 and 27, 2011 at the Davisdson Conference Center of the University of Southern California. The conference was sponsored by: USC Center for International Studies, School of International Relations, Jesse M. Unruh Institute, USC Office of Globatlization, United Nations Develpment Program, International Development Research Centre, Canada, and Fundación Vidanta. The keynote speakers were: Arturo Valenzuela, Assitant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, and Heraldo Muñoz, Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, United Nations Development Programme.
