On November 10 and 11, 2011, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the international seminar “Development, Integration, and Cooperation in a Globalized Caribbean” was held. The seminar was organized by the Latin American University, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and the Vidanta Foundation and was sponsored by the Vidanta Foundation. Opening comments were made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Carlos Morales Troncoso, at the country’s Diplomatic School.
