On April 18, 2008, the first workshop of the project "The Bicentennial: 1910-2010: Lessons and Opportunities," took place at the Foundation for Democracy and Development in Santiago, Chile. The objective of the workshop was to bring together all of the coordinators of the national chapters with the goal of presenting the progress made in each country, exchanging ideas about the main lines of investigation to follow, and establishing work methodologies.
