With the sponsorship of the Vidanta Foundation and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), the Council on Foreign Relations of Latin America and the Caribbean and the Torcuato Di Tella University organized in Buenos Aires an academic seminar on the situation and prospects of the political economy of Latin America. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the University Torcuato Di Tella on December 12. Several experts provided reports on the cases of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Guatemala. The presentations were given by Roberto Frenkel, Guilherme Mello, Mauricio Reina, Ricardo Ffrench-Davis, Rolando Cordera and Juan Alberto Fuentes.
