On June 8 and 9, 2018, the First Colloquium of Graduate Students on Inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean (DESALC) will be held at El Colegio de México. Sponsored by the Vidanta Foundation, with the support of the Red de Estudios sobre Desigualdades and the academic coordination of El Colegio de México, the event aims to generate a platform for exchanging ideas and papers in the field of inequalities with the new generations of researchers. For this colloquium, 198 papers from 21 different countries were received. The Scientific Committee selected 40 papers, among which the main thematic axes were: socioeconomic inequalities, urban inequalities and social policy.
