On October 5, a workshop for authors of the project "Constructing Democratic Governance in Latin America" was held in Washington. Also was held a public meeting where Bill Richardson, former governor of New Mexico, spoke on "Outlook in the Americas and Challenges for U.S. Policy". He was presented by Lazaro Cardenas Batel, former governor of Michoacán. The meeting took place at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
