Dr. Roberto Russell, President of the Vidanta Foundation, participated in the commemoration ceremony for the 80th anniversary of El Colegio de México. The ceremony was attended by the former directors of El Colegio, Drs. Andrés Lira and Javier García Diego, the current director, Dr. Silvia Giorguli, and as a guest of honor, Mr. Manuel López Obrador, Constitutional President of the United Mexican States.
Despite the pandemic, the Foundation maintained an active collaboration with El Colegio de México. This work was recognized in a letter sent by Dr. Giorguli to Dr. Russell on December 16, in which she stated: “Before closing this school year, on behalf of the academic community of El Colegio, I would like to thank Fundación Vidanta for the trust it has placed in our institution, as well as for the financial contributions that have undoubtedly contributed to the mission we have at El Colegio.”
