Launch of the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Sustainable Development

To inaugurate the new bachelor’s degree in tourism and sustainable development at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a virtual conference was held. The following experts participated in this event: María Isabel Ortiz Mantilla, Secretary of Environment and Territorial Planning of Guanajuato; Jorge Luis Cabrejo Samamé, Head of the Secretary of Tourism Promotion and Director of Marketing, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato; José Ignacio Casar Pérez, Researcher of the University Program of Development Studies of UNAM; and Manuel Becerra Vazquez, Corporate Director of Grupo Vidanta. The meeting was moderated by Laura Acosta Torres, Director of the ENES León Unit of UNAM, and by Adriana Islas Rodriguéz, Research Professor of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Sustainable Development of the ENES León Unit of UNAM. The Foundation was represented at this conference by Dr. Roberto Russell. At the end of the presentations and the debate, a press conference was held to give details to the media about the content and objectives of the new degree program that began on August 15.
