The Vidanta Foundation, in partnership with El Colegio de México, the University Program of Development Studies of the UNAM, the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE) and the Universidad Anahuac Mexico, co-organized the Forum: Tourism and Social Development that took place on October 15 at the Universum Museum, University City of the UNAM.
The Forum was opened by: Silvia Giorguli Saucedo, President of El Colegio de México Rolando Cordera Campos, Coordinator of the University Program of Development Studies, UNAM; Jimena Moreno, General Secretary of the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE); Roberto Russell, President of the Vidanta Foundation; and Sonia Barnetche Frías, Academic Vice-Rector of Universidad Anáhuac Mexico.
The objective of the Forum was to present a document with public policies recommendations on tourism and social development for the new Government of Mexico (2018-2024). The document was prepared by Francisco Madrid Flores, Director of the Faculty of Tourism and Gastronomy, Universidad Anáhuac Mexico, and José Casar, PUED-UNAM Researcher, in collaboration with professors and experts from the organizing institutions.
