The Vidanta Foundation 2015 Awards were presented at the Hall of the Americas of the Organization of the American States in Washington DC on November 18.
The ceremony was conducted by Michael Shifter, President of the Inter American Dialogue and included the participation of the President of the Award Committee and former President of Uruguay, Julio Maria Sanguinetti, the Jury members, Nora Lustig and Luis Maira and the President of the Foundation Vidanta, Robert Russell.
On the occasion of the presentation of the Council on Foreign Relations of Latin America and the Caribbean (RIAL), Ricardo Lagos, former President of Chile, Felipe González, former Prime Minister of Spain, and Enrique García, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) referred to the importance for the region of the Awards created by the Vidanta Foundation in collaboration with the OAS and the SEGIB.
